SEH Technology, Inc., a US-based supplier of professional network printing solutions, has launched the myUTN mini USB server, which securely connects USB devices over a fiber optic or Ethernet networks, without the need for additional cables or drivers.

Peripherals such as printers can be plugged into myUTN, which can be wall mounted, rather than into a computer’s USB port, allowing users to benefit from top-level security.

The myUTN USB servers extend SHE’s range to include devices running on MicrosoftTM Windows networks running VistaTM and Windows XPTM operating systems.

USB data can be securely accessed over a network, without any location-based restrictions.

Security features include password protection, access control, encryption, port access control, and support for protocols such as HTTPS and SNMPv3.

Mike Majewski, SHE’s CEO said: “Now users of myUTN USB device servers have the greatest flexibility in accessing and securing USB devices over the network by providing direct and secure point-to-point connections. SEH offers one of the industry’s most comprehensive network security packages available.”
