SanDisk has continued the development of its Cruzer Enterpise USB flash drives with the announcement that all models have Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) certification.

FIPS is a standard that IT products have to meet to be certified for ‘Sensitive but Unclassified’ (SBU) use by the US Federal government.

SanDisk also announced the release of Central Management and Control (CMC) software version 3.0, which will make it easier to distribute, protect and recover critical data.

SanDisk’s Cruzer Enterprise secure USB flash drives are available in two versions – standard Cruzer Enterprise and Cruzer Enterprise with McAfee Malware Protection – both with FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certification for encryption.

The flash drives are compatible with both PCs and Macs, since the company released a Mac version at the end of last year.
