Memory specialist, Corsair will debut its new ‘GT’ 16GB USB 2.0 Flash drive, at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany next week.

According to the company, the drive offers transfer rates that are up to four times faster than those provided by standard USB 2.0 drives.

Corsair claims that a 1.63GB movie can be transferred in just 98 seconds, compared to 358 seconds with a standard USB.

The GT drive is equipped with hand-selected NAND flash chips and advanced flash controller technology. It has a water and shock resistant rubber casing for maximum durability and comes with a 10-year limited warranty.

TrueCrypt encryption software is included offering AES 256-bit encryption for data security.

The drive is available now for around £55 excluding VAT, through Corsair’s authorised distributors and resellers world-wide.

Complete customer support is available via telephone, email, forum and TS Xpress.
