Firebox.com has announced that the USB Tape Express, a portable device that converts old tapes into MP3s, can now be pre-ordered.

Tape Express, which retails for £49.95, connects via USB to either a PC or Mac.

As well as allowing you to listen to your old tapes, it converts them to digital files so they can be burned onto a CD, archived in iTunes or transferred to an MP3 player.

Tape Express is compatible with most audio tapes and is small enough to carry around in a pocket.

Firebox has also announced the availability of the Tao Digital Photo Keychain from 9th November.

Costing £9.99 the USB device allows photos to be dragged from a PC or Mac and dropped straight onto its 1.5” LCD screen.

It provides 8MB of storage for up to 100 photos.

Firebox recently announced that appointment of W00t!media to manage its UK online ad sales account, becoming Manchester-based W00t!media’s first ecommerce client.
