Muse have taken the title of techno music to the next level with their newest publicity/treasure hunt event which involves USB sticks that are hidden across the globe with the newest track from their upcoming LP aboard.

There are six USB sticks in six different locations: two have been discovered in Paris and Berlin, and four remain to be found in Tokyo, Dubai, Moscow, and Hong Kong.

In order to find one of the golden USB sticks which are reminiscent of Willy Wonka’s golden tickets for Muse fans, codes need to be entered online and then the entire Muse community can discuss how the clues lead to the locations of the objects.

The song that fans are looking for is titled “United States of Eurasia” and is to be featured on Muse’s upcoming LP The Resistance, their first album since Black Holes and Revelations in 2006.

Each USB holds a different amount of seconds from the song, and as they are discovered and plugged into the website they unlock about thirty more seconds of the track on the official website making it a collective effort for fans.

Muse is known for crazy antics and rock stadium popularity among a small selected trendy and urban group of listeners which is best debuted by their unique marketing and their last performance at Wembley Stadium on their last world tour.

In case the USB sticks are not discovered, the good news is the complete album can be purchased on September 14th.
