UPEK’s Eikon Digital Privacy Manager, which has previously been available for PCs, now supports Mac systems.
The USB-powered, biometric device reads fingerprints to provide authorised users access to password-protected applications.
After logging on, Mac users can unlock keychain, unlock secure preferences at admin-level settings, unlock file vault to decrypt home folders and unlock the screen saver, with just the swipe of a finger.
The Mac version of UPEK’s Eikon Digital Privacy manager is available now for download from the UPEK website as a preview version.
Customers need to buy the Windows version of the device, and can then download the Mac Preview to use the device on a Mac.
