This may look like an ordinary USB flash drive, but you would then be surprised to notice that it is in fact a device which will bring a whole new world of entertainment to you PC.

To enable this transformation AMD have introduced two devices, the ATI TV Wonder 650 combo PCIe and the ATI TV wonder 600 USB.

The PCIe is the top of the range version and as such is fully loaded, including a combination tuner DVR which should enable the viewing of cable TV, although there is the option to switch between analogue and digital TV which can also be recorded, while watching another channel.

But it is the ATI TV wonder 600 USB that we are mainly interested in, this is the plug in and play version which is connected via the USB port and turns the computer into a DVR along with all of the other features that too many to mention. There is also a remote control about the size of a credit card, as well as an adapter, which will allow input from a camcorder or even VCR.

These two devices are really interesting and show what can be doen when the right infastructure exists.
