Wisair, which provides single-chip based Ultra Wideband (UWB) and Wireless USB (WUSB) solutions, has completed a $24m funding round.

The financing was led by Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), a US-based private equity fund. New investors included European company, Advent Venture Partners; Bridge Capital Fund of Japan; and Yasuda Ventures.

Wisair recently developed the regulation and standards-approved WSR601 single-die CMOS chip. With the new financing in place, it will be able to accelerate the release of WUSB products, for which demand is soaring.

Wisair, a fabless semiconductor company, provides host and device solutions which are recognised worldwide for their superior coverage, range and throughput.
