Pinnacle Systems Inc has released Pinnacle Video Capture for Mac, a USB 2.0 device which makes it easy to convert videos and other recorded content from any analog source, to formats compatible with Macs, iPods, iPhones or Apple TVs.

The device plugs into a Mac’s USB 2.0 or 1.1 port, enabling high-quality video streaming directly to the system.

Pinnacle Video Capture for Mac supports S-Video, Composite video and stereo audio analog inputs. Hardware video encoding and onboard compression (MPEG-4) ensures quality and efficiency.

The product is designed for Mac OS X 10.4 or later systems. It is expected to appeal to Mac users who require a cost-effective method of expanding their iTunes video library.

Pinnacle Video Capture for Mac will be available from October, priced at $99.99, both online and from retail stores worldwide.
