Lindy Electronics has introduced the LINDY USB 2.0 Audio Adapter, which allows users to make voice over IP (VoIP) calls independently of their audio system.

The adapter eliminates the need to switch between headsets and speakers as PC audio can be constantly set up for music and gaming, whilst still allowing VoIP calls to be made and received.

The adapter is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. It features a Crystal Media chipset and has connections for both a microphone and stereo headset or speakers.

The microphone input can be muted with the push of a button. Audio activity and microphone mute status are displayed on LEDs.

The plug and play adapter means that a VoIP call comes in through a headset and not the speakers, making it more like a traditional telephone call. The compact size of the adapter makes it idea to use with a PC or a laptop.

The adapter can simply be plugged into a convenient USB port and it is ready to use. It comes with a 1m extension cable and is USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 compatible. The RRP is £10.99.
