Dane-elec Memory’s Zpen, which the company first announced last December, is now available to buy from CCL online.

Zpen comprises a transmitter pen which can write on any kind of paper, and a receiver.

The device would be ideal for students, as it can convert hand written notes, such as lecture notes, into digital text.

The user simply plugs the device into a computer’s USB port and downloads their notes onto the PC.

These can then be edited on a word processor and stored on the PC in the usual way.

The pen can also be used as a standard, 1GB USB drive, for carrying around music, documents and other data.
