Secunet SINA Mobile Disk protected from Trojans

German IT security company, Secunet Security Networks AG, is launching a Trojan protected external USB hard drive at Cebit 2008.

The SINA Mobile Disc features an integrated Krypto chip which encodes the hard drive in AES 256 bit. The drive has a storage capacity of 60 GB.

There is a touch pad on the outside of the SINA, on which a user must enter a PIN number in order to access the drive.

The touch pad is not directly connected to the hard drive itself. Therefore if the drive is infected with a Trojan, it is impossible for the malware to discover the PIN.

Pricing details for the SISA Mobile Disc have not been revealed.
