Corsair Inc has launched a range of Flash Padlock USB 2.0 drives.

The affordable drives are designed to ensure the security of data while on the move and feature auto-locking for automatic data protection.

Auto-locking eliminates the need for the user to remember to activate the feature - the Flash Padlock drives will automatically lock when they are removed from the computer.

The drive is unlocked with a touch-pad security PIN entry system, and can be used as a standard USB flash data drive. The user can set a unique security PIN of up to 10 digits long.

As the system is based on hardware security, it is impervious to malware such as keystroke loggers that could attack a software secured USB flash drive.

Corsair’s Flash Padlock USB 2.0 drives are compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux platforms and no additional software is required.

The 1GB and 2GB drives are available through Corsair’s authorized distributors and resellers, priced from $29.99 for the 1GB drive and $39.99 for the 2GB drive.
