Belkin is releasing its Soho KVM USB switch in the USA next month. The switch allows two or more computers to share one monitor, keyboard, and mouse, providing convenience and saving desktop space.
The device will be launched in Europe, but the date has yet to be announced.
The newly designed switch features a built-in USB 2.0 2-port hub and touch-sensitive buttons, conveniently situated on the front, to make it easy to switch between devices.
The USB port makes it easy to connect an iPod and play music while switching between computers.
According to Belkin the use of VGA cables for connecting monitors could soon be a thing of the past, as more people adopt high-definition (HD) connections.
The company has launched its new DisplayPort cable as an alternative to the HD multimedia interface found on home cinema systems.
Belkin, which is a leader in connectivity solutions, has its corporate headquarters in Los Angeles, with offices throughout Europe, including in the United Kingdom.
