Permalink: Orange launches ICON 2 USB Modem

Orange has launched the Option ICON 2 USB Modem which provides wireless broadband to a laptop or desktop.

The modem features 3G/3G+ and EDGE/GPRS technologies and supports 7.2Mbit/sec HSDPA speeds to provide a broadband service comparable to that provided by wired broadband suppliers.

It also features Advanced Receiver Technology, to provide faster and more stable connections.

The modem is simply plugged into a spare USB socket or a laptop or desktop, either directly or using the supplied USB extension cable, and the software and drivers required for connecting to the Orange network are installed automatically.

SMS software is also installed, allowing texts to be sent directly from the computer. The modem measures 103mm x 46mm x 14mm.
