Lindy Electronics’ latest USB VoIP phone is idea for anyone who is put off from using Skype by the usual headset and microphone arrangement.

The phone has a two-piece design, similar to a traditional phone, and allows users to make calls between PCs and from a PC to a landline or mobile phone.

Once it is connected to the PC, via either USB 2.0 or 1.1, it is as easy to use as a regular phone. The device has an auto launch feature which launches Skype VoIP software as soon as the handset is picked up.

It is also compatible with MSN and Yahoo Messenger VoIP software, and works with computers running Windows 2000, XP and Vist.

The LINDY USB VoIP Phone comes with a 1.3m USB Cable. It can be located on a desk or mounted on the wall and doesn’t need a soundcard.

The phone is available now for £21.99.
