Solve IT With Science, the specialist in speed reading technology, has launched a USB pen which can increase electronic document reading speeds by up to 300%.
The ReallyEasyReader device comes in two versions, one for students and one for executives.
It utilises technology known as Rapid Serial Visual Presentation, which displays the words either one at a time or in a Tick-a-Tape format.
This overcomes the problem of the reader hearing the words in their head as they read, a trait known as ‘sub vocalisation’.
The technology, which can increase reading speed to over 600 words per minute, is designed to be simple to use, and is compatible with Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems.
ReallyEasyReader comes with the full text of over 550 classic books, as well as XMind an award-winning, open source, mind mapping tool.
The device also offers 2 GB of flash storage and a visible laser pointer for presentations and an LED torch.
It is priced from £29.95 including VAT and ill be available from leading retailers or online at www.reallyeasyreader.com.
