NEC of Japan is launching 3 new laptops in its LaVie J series with Wireless USB support.

All the laptops feature a 12.1-inch screen and Core 2 Duo U7600 processor running at 1.2GHz. The machines are shock-resistant, making them ideal for travellers, and can handle a total pressure of 300kg.

The top of the range model is priced at €1,735 and comes with WiFi, A/B/G/N, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 160GB hard-drive and 2GB RAM.

The 730 model has an 80GB hard-drive and 1GB RAM and does not include WiFI N, while the 700 does not include Office 2007.
