Cambridge-based DisplayLink’s USB graphics functionality has been integrated into Lenovo’s Enhanced USB Port Replicator with Video.

DisplayLink’s technology allows video and graphics to be transmitted at high-speeds over a standard USB 2.0 cable. This enables universal USB port replication, allowing a notebook PC to be docked through a single USB 2.0. connection.

The solution eliminates the need for machine-specific docking stations, providing a significant cost-saving opportunity for companies with large mobile workforces.

Hot plug connectivity allows mobile workers to dock or un-dock a notebook PC in a matter of seconds.

DisplayLink USB display technology also allows a desktop to be extended over two monitors, or the same desktop can be viewed on two monitors. A button on the port replicator allows the user to switch easily between these two options.
