DiskDeleter USB 2.2.0, from BluestSoft, is a new software tool which erases data safely, including Windows and other hard disk data.

DiskDeleter is based on US DOD 5220.22-M clearing and sanitizing directives and ensures that the erased data is unrecoverable.

To operate the device, users insert DiskDeleter USB stick into the computer, and with the included software, start the cleaning wizard while Windows is running. The device can also be inserted when the computer is off. DiskDeleter’s wizard will automatically run from the USB after the machine is started up. DiskDeleter USB takes about 21 sec to erase 1 GB of data.

The DiskDeleter USB 2.2.0 is compatible with Windows 2000, 2003, XP for ‘Run DiskDeleter on Windows’ and Windows 3.x, 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, 2003, XP, plus OS/2, and Intel based Linux/Unix for ‘Run DiskDeleter by USB boot’.
