Advanced Media Inc,an independent subsidiary of RITEK Corporation, is launching the RIDATA Fingerprint USB Flash Drive.
The drive protects sensitive information by integrating a variety of biometric-identification technologies to ensure user authenticity and verification. No additional software or devices are required.
The RIDATA Fingerprint USB Flash Drive connects directly to the computer via the USB 1.1 or 2.0 ports and has a transfer speed of 480Mbps. It offers read-access speeds of up to 9 MB/sec and a write speed of up to 8.3 MB/sec. The drive will work with most operating systems including all Windows systems from 98 to XP, Linux Kernal 2.4 or later and Mac OS 8.6 or later.
The device costs from $20-$80 depending on size. It will be available in a range of sizes from 128 MB to 4 GB. Each Fingerprint Flash Drive includes a two-year warranty. The device is available on the RIDATA website.
