Kingston has launched two 8-Gbyte USB flash drives in its DataTraveler range.
The USB 2.0-compliant DataTraveler 100 is now available in a range of capacities, from a 1-Gbyte drive priced at $20 to an 8-Gbyte drive which sells for a hefty $116.
DataTraveler 100 features a capless design which allows the USB connector to be retracted and protracted with the flick of a thumb.
Kingston also announced the new 8-Gbyte DataTraveler II Plus-Migo Edition for business users.
The 8-Gbyte DataTraveler II Plus-Migo features sport data synchronization software from Migo. It allows users to save and access their desktop’s e-mail, internet setting, files, and folders on other computers.
When the password-protected drive is connected to a designated home PC, it synchronises all files and settings, to ensure that all data is up to date.
The drive also has Universal Mail Format which means that email can be used via applications such as Windows Mail, Outlook, and Outlook Express.
The 8-Gbyte DataTraveler II Plus is available for $154 and it is also available in in 1-, 2-, and 4-Gbyte versions.
