The appearance of a job ad for a software/hardware tester for Wii USB devices has sparked speculation about what USB devices Nintendo has in mind.

The Wii console is already equipped with USB connectors, so current owners of the console shouldn’t miss out when the development plans come to fruition.

One of the most useful developments would be a USB hard drive for the Wii, as with just 512MB internal memory it lags behind both the Xbox 360 and PS3, which have internal hard drives providing ample storage for downloadable content and games.
