Data storage specialist, Verbatim, has launched two new USB speaker systems, suitable for use at home, or while on the move.

The new Desktop USB Speaker System, priced at £29.99, has an integrated 3.5 mm jack, direct connection of headphones is supported, and there is a volume and mute switch.

The Portable USB Speaker System, priced at £24.99, has a stylish rubberised surface, and is ideal for use while travelling.

Both of the systems have two amplified and magnetically shielded 1-1/4″ metal speakers.

They both provide excellent sound quality with a frequency range from 120Hz to 18kHz for the desktop system and 200Hz to 18kHz for the portable system.

The Plug ‘n’ Play design means that the speakers are ready for use with a PC or laptop and additional sound cards are not required.
