T-Mobile is promoting its broadband services by offering a USB modem for laptops.

The telecoms operator is launching a new broadband tariff in November - users will be able to log onto the 3G service via the USB modem and a laptop, for £4 a day.

The service carries no monthly commitment and provides unlimited wireless broadband access in a number of UK cities.

The 3G broadband service is part of T-Mobiles strategy to diversify from its core mobile phone services.

T-Mobile has also lowered its charges for wireless broadband contracts.

Web’n'walk Plus, which allows users to browse the web, email, download, stream and instant message, has been cut from £29 a month to £20.

Web’n'walk Max, which includes VoIP services, has been cut from £44 a month to £35.
