Lehman has launched a Black Cube USB Headphone Pre Amplifier which can turn a computer into a source of high quality audio.

The device is compatible with USB 1.0 onwards and works with sample rates up to 48kHz.

As well as USB, there is an analogue input with gold-plated RCA and 3,5mm jack connectors with loop through.

Input selection is automatic with the USB connection being given priority.

The amplifier has the maximum gain selectable up to 20dB. This optimises the output level of the zero global feedback Class A output stage.

The amplifier provides ultra transparent sound and explosive dynamics formerly only available on electrostatic headphones.

It is housed in a high-quality non-magnetic aluminium case anodised black or silver.

The device is priced at around £750 and will be distributed in the UK by Henley Designs.
