POSDATA Flyvo’s USB modem U100 and base station have been certified by the WiMAX Forum for interoperability and conformance to WiMAX standards operating in the 2.3 GHz frequency bands.

The products were awarded the Mobile WiMAX Forum Certified Seal of Approval at the WiMAX Forum Congress Asia 2008, which was held in Singapore.

Products from Runcom Technologies, Samsung Electronics and Sequans Communications, also secured WiMAX certification.

Flyvo’s USB Modem is compact and lightweight, for easy portability, and when it is loaded, the angle is adjustable to 45 degrees, allowing the user to find the optimal direction for receiving electric waves.

A connection manager for PCs, with a user friendly interface is provided.

Information technology company POSDATA has its headquarters in Korea. It provides products and services to telecommunications and computing companies.

While Flyvo’s USB modem U100 is one of the first products to receive WiMAX certificationi, the WiMAX Forum expects more than 100 products to be certified for Mobile WiMAX by the end of 2008, increasing to over 1,000 by 2011.
