Novatel Wireless claims that the Ovation MC950D is the smallest USB modem to be able to make both 7.2Mb/s HSDPA and HSUPA connections.

The shiny black USB dongle is slightly larger than a USB Flash drive. The cap conceals both the USB connector and a SIM slot.

The modem comes with a USB extension cable included and also a holder allowing the device to be clipped to a laptop screen.

The Ovation MC950D can connect on three HDSPA bands: 850MHz, 1900MHz and 2100MHz. With Edge or GPRS connectivity the modem supports the quad-band frequencies of 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz and 1900MHz.
