Belgian wireless technology company, Option, is now shipping its iCON 210 HSPA USB modem to Telefónica O2 Germany.

The iCON 210 is an entry level modem designed for use in Europe and the US.

The modem, which will carry O2 branding, will give O2’s customers access to internet and email at HSPA speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps.

The modem can be used with desktop PCs, and at just 27g it is ideal to use with a laptop when you are on the move.

Option is making a bit impression on the market at the moment, as the iCON 210 is the third USB modem the company has released in the last three months.

  1. I’m a little confused about your article. I understand that this modem is made in Germany and sold in the US, but is it for desktops or laptops? I have a desktop with a Clear wireless internet brand USB modem and it works supper fast. Clear is out of Portland (www.clear.com) and I have the fastest package that they offer. What are the advantages of the modem you speak of over the advantages of the Clear modem that I lease from my ISP?
