Huawei has upgraded its USB pebble HSDPA modem with the addition of a digital TV tuner.
The company traditionally manufactures connectivity kits for European carriers, including Vodafone, and the USB combo marks a move into new categories.
The USB pebble modem, known as the E510, has a top download speed of up to 7.2Mb/s and a top upload speed of up to 2Mb/s. It will initially only be available in Europe and the price has not yet been disclosed.
The device will be ideal for travellers, allowing them to connect almost anywhere, and watch TV on their laptop.
