Transcend Technologies has launched JetFlash T3, a USB flash drive which measures just 30.2×12.3×2.4mm and weighs a mere two grams.

Despite its small size, the drive is designed to be extra-rugged. It is available in 1GB and 2GB versions for $12.90 and $20.80, respectively.

Transcend has used a special Chip On Board (COB) manufacturing technique which moulds the memory chip and circuit board into the drive’s casing, which is made from unbreakable polycarbonate.

Its rugged construction and small size means that the drive can be carried as a mobile phone dongle or keychain accessory. It can also be carried in a wallet, without fear of it being damaged.

The drive comes with a lifetime warranty.
