The T-Mobile web’n’walk USB modem provides internet access for a laptop when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

The device, which is made by Huawei, plugs into a laptop’s USB port and connects you in minutes. The modem ships with two USB cables included.

Once the installation programme has been run, the software automatically starts whenever the modem is plugged in.

The compact device measures just 42mm wide, 88mm tall and 15mm thick, and there is a slot for a SIM card on the side.

The modem is designed to give speeds of up to 1.8Mbps – an LED glows blue when connected to the fast HSDPA network, and glows green when only GPRS is available.

The modem is provided free with two monthly data plans costing £29 and £44.
