Any phone can now be used to make Skype calls with the help of the “Echo Free” USB-to-Phone Adaptor just released by CuPhone.

The user simply plugs the adaptor into the USB port on a PC and then plugs any phone, including cordless phones, into the adaptor to make standard or Skype calls.

The adaptor features an advanced single chip VoIP solution from TigerJet, the Tiger580.

This provides built-in Echo Cancellation hardware to provide excellent audio quality, SLIC/Phone interface and a 16-bit audio codec.

The adapter helps to bring low cost Skype calls to anyone with a PC, without having to buy Skype phone equipment.

The adaptor is available for $34 from CuPhone’s web site.
