Corsair recently released a USB 2.0 flash drive which displays how much storage space is available without having to be plugged into a computer.

The Corsair Readout USB 2.0 Flash Drive has a built-in Bi-stabile Cholesteric Display (BCD), which can display a drive label showing how much capacity is being used and how much more is still available.

The energy-efficient display will work for up to a year without having to be plugged in, and without a battery.

The label can contain up to 11-characters, assigned by the user, making it easy to differentiate between flash drives.

The drive is available in a 4GB capacity, priced at $76. An 8GB capacity drive is also available.
