Logitech has launched AudioHub - a 2.1 speaker system for notebooks which incorporates a three-in-one USB hub.

AudioHub comprises a three-chamber speaker set with integrated subwoofer for surround sound playback of digital audio, together with three high-speed USB ports, powered by one USB output which plugs into a computer.

The compact system is designed to fit behind a notebook PC, and allows USB cables to be concealed under the base speaker.

The system also features a mute button which can switch off power to the speakers without affecting the USB hub.

The AudioHub will be available from October, priced at around $100.
