Stonestreet One, Inc, demonstrated at the CES show in Las Vegas, the industry’s first wireless USB software solution for Microsoft Windows Mobile and Windows CE embedded platforms based on Certified Wireless USB from the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF).

The solution brings Stonestreet One’s advanced UltraSuite portfolio of UWB (Ultrawideband) software services to WiMedia-based systems, including PDA’s, smart phones, portable media players, and gaming systems which support compact flash (CF) and SDIO interfaces running Microsoft Windows Mobile Edition, Portable PC, Smartphone or embedded Windows CE platforms. Stonestreet’s new technology means that these systems can now incorporate advanced high speed UWB wireless technology and connect with both legacy wired and wireless USB systems.

The availability of Wireless USB software for new platforms is expected to promote the adoption of solutions based on Certified Wireless USB technology. UWB is a key new technology for the next generation of mobile and embedded devices. Stonestreet’s UltraSuite for Windows Mobile product will help equipment manufactures bring products to market more quickly and further accelerate the speed at which these systems will be designed with UWB capability.

The UltraSuite portfolio includes the WiCenter connectivity application, Host Wire Adapter (HWA) and Device Wire Adapter (DWA) drivers for Certified Wireless USB (WUSB), and the UltraView engineering tool.
