Staccato Communications’ Ripcord Zero Install Wireless USB solution has been selected to power Imation’s new Wireless Projection Link which was recently revealed at the 2009 Storage Visions Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Staccato Ripcord Zero Install solution enables Wireless USB connectivity to existing PC and digital projection systems without new software being installed.

Imation’s Wireless Projection Link is a digital projector solution which makes it easier for multiple users to share a single projector.

This has obvious advantages in meetings and conferences, where several speakers may share the same equipment.

The Imation Wireless Projection Link instantly creates a wireless connection from a PC to a digital projector via its “connect and project” zero-install option.

The product comprises a compact base unit which is compatible with most projection systems, and a USB transmitter dongle.

It has been approved by the USB-IF and has full Wireless USB certification.

Imation’s Wireless Projection Link is powered by Staccato’s Ripcord Zero Install technology, which provides the plug and play capability.

Staccato Communications’ Ripcord2 chip was recently named “Best of Innovations” in the Enabling Technologies category, at the International Consumer Electronics Show.

Staccato merged with UWB specialist, Artimi, at the end of last year.
