Samsung adopts DisplayLink USB technology

Permalink: Samsung adopts DisplayLink USB technology

LCD display manufacturer, Samsung, is using DisplayLink’s display technology for its SyncMaster 2263DX, 22-inch LCD monitor, with an attached 7-inch tandem monitor.

DisplayLink provides USB hardware and software to power the tandem monitor, and connect it to the main monitor.

This is achieved with a USB cable and without the need for any power connections.

The tandem monitor can therefore easily be positioned to either side, or above the main screen, providing extra screen space without taking up too much room on the desktop.

The DisplayLink software provides the option of either portrait or landscape modes.
