Emerson Network Power has launched the DCH3 series of wall-mounted AC-DC power adapters, featuring mini-USB connectors for their DC power output.
The adapters have a universal 100 to 254VAC input and generate a regulated 5V output, with a power capability of 3W.
They are designed to charge portable consumer electronic devices which need a 5VDC supply and use mini-USB connectors for their power input, including mobile phones and digital cameras.
A choice of three models are available, each one designed with a different input plug to suit a different geographical region.
The adapters are designed with safety and energy efficiency in mind.
They comply with the Energy Star Level IV efficiency standard. They have a very low safety ground leakage current of 10 µA maximum, and provide a constant voltage, constant current output.
Safety features include protection against over-voltage and short-circuit conditions, and integrated EMI filtering. Safety approvals include UL/cUL60950-1 and EN60950-1 VDE.
The adapters can operate in temperatures from 0C to +45C.
