Sony Ericsson is launching several new accessories, including its first USB Mobile Broadband Modem - the MD300.
The modem is part of Sony’s new portfolio of mobile broadband products, which widens the company’s focus from the mobile phone to devices aimed at the computer user.
The modem will connect a computer to HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, or GPRS networks. It will plug into any standard USB port and comes with Microsoft Windows software and drivers built-in. Mac drivers will be available for download.
The device is designed to automatically configure itself when plugged in, providing a connection in seconds.
