Taiwan-based digital storage specialist, Apacer Technology, has started to distribute its Handy Steno AH421 4GB USB drive, which can swivel almost flush against a computer chassis, reducing the risk of the drive being accidentally pulled out.

The Handy Steno AH421 4GB, which retails for around $85, is the world’s first blade-shaped flash drive, which not only swivels 180 degrees but is also designed so that it does not cover any other USB ports when it is lying flat.

The drive was designed for use with Windows Vista ReadyBoost, which claims to provide faster response times than other operating systems. Apacer’s drive is capable of data transfer speeds of 17MBPS.

With its innovative design the Handy Steno AH421 4GB USB drive can remain in place in a PC or notebook so that it is immediately available when needed and reducing the possible of it being misplaced.
