Buffalo Technology has launched MiniStation Pro, a portable storage device for business users, which comes in 160GB and 320GB capacities.

MiniStation Pro is a 2.5-inch, USB hard drive, with automatic AES 128bit hardware encryption for data security.

Files stored on the device can only be accessed after the correct password is entered.

Designed for travelers, the drive is compact, lightweight, and shock resistant with an armoured outer case.

The Mozilla Firefox web browser and Thunderbird email applications are pre-loaded, together with Memeo Backup Software providing additional data protection.

MiniStation Pro is expected to cost £76 for the 160GB version and £136 for the 320GB version, only slightly more than an earlier version without encryption.
