O2 has launched a wireless USB modem supplied by Sierra Wireless - the Sierra Wireless AirCard 875U - on the O2 network in the UK.

The modem is aimed at laptop users who require high-speed data on the move. It provides 3G and HSDPA broadband speeds over suitably equipped mobile networks. In the UK, 3G data speeds of up to 384Kbps or GPRS data at up to 53.6Kbps are available.

The modem connects to a Mac, PC or laptop via a USB connector and is compatible with machines running Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Mac OS X operating systems. It comes with a docking station for a desk PC.

The Sierra Wireless AirCard 875U is available from O2 stores and online for £120.
