Sierra Wireless has chosen the UK for the first commercial launch of its Compass 885 USB Modem, which will be available on the O2 network.

The USB modem is targeted at business travelers, with its compact and durable design.

It offers download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps and upload speeds of up to 2Mbps, and is compatible with both Windows-based PCs and Macs.

The modem features a microSD memory card slot to expand functionality, and provides tri-band HSPA/UMTS support and quad-band GSM/EDGE support for global roaming.

The O2 Business USB modem is available through O2 direct, corporate and business sales channels and from O2’s website.
