Vodafone cuts cost of USB Modem Stick

The price of Vodafone’s USB Modem Stick has been halved to £49 for customers on a 30-day contract. The plug and go Modem Stick provides connection speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps - 14 times faster than standard 3G.

The move follows a £10 per month reduction in Vodafone’s 18 month tariffs, and is a further indication of increasing competition in the mobile broadband market.

Rival mobile company, 3UK recently halved the price of its contract plans, but with a speed of up to 3.6Mbps, has a way to go to measure up to Vodafone.

Vodafone was Business Operator of the Year in 2007 and has more Mobile Broadband customers than all the other operators put together.
