Fabless semiconductor company, Wisair, has secured Japanese regulatory certification for its WSR601 Wireless USB CMOS single chip.

The Wisair WSR601 chip, with low, out-of-band emission, (below -70dBm/MHz), enabled compliance without the need for band-3 filtering.

The chip previously passed WiMedia PHY compliance and interoperability tests and has been listed as a registered PHY in the WiMedia integrators’ list.

The single-chip has been approved for the Japanese market, and will enable OEMs to deliver the same products (single SKU) in both Japan and the US.

Wisair plans to demonstrate the WSR601 chip in the WiMedia Pavilion at the CEATEC communications exhibition, which will take place October 2-6 at Makhurari Messe, Japan.
