Pure Digital, which manufactures disposable cameras sold in drugstores, has released Flip Video, a pocket-sized camcorder designed so that its footage can be easily uploaded onto the Internet.
Flip Video comes with a built-in USB arm and software for editing and uploading onto video sharing sites such as Google’s YouTube site or Grouper, an online video site owned by Sony. Footage can be instantly shared with any PC or Mac.
The device is available from $119 for 30 minutes worth of storage to $149 for 60 minutes of storage, from Target, Costco, Best Buy and on Amazon.com. Both devices run on standard AA batteries.
