Equinux has launched TubeStick, a white DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial) receiver, which connects to a Mac via a USB port.

TubeStick comes with Equinux’s new TV software “TheTube”. The device also works with Equinux’s own media center solution, MediaCentral.

In order to watch and record live television a user simply inserts the Tubestick DVB-T Tuner into the USB port of a Mac and launches TheTube software.

The DVB-T standard, which provides high picture quality, is available in most European countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, France and the UK. DVB-T is not available in the United States or Canada.

The TubeStick Special Edition, including TheTube and MediaCentral, is available for a recommended retail price of €39.95.
