Mousetrapper Advance, a USB device from Swedish design fim Mousetrapper Nordic, has been launched in the UK.

Mousetrapper Advance is designed to protect against and relieve repetitive strain injury (RSI). The device replaces a traditional mouse and minimises the excessive wrist, upper arm and shoulder movement which causes strain when using a computer.

The Mousetrapper Advance is an ergonomically designed, multi-dimensional, steering pad integrated into a cushioned wrist support which attaches to a keyboard. The operator can perform all the normal mouse functions with their hands positioned comfortably over the Home Keys.

The device connects easily to most PCs and Apple systems with a USB connector and can be operated with either the right of the left hand.

The original Mousetrapper, a mechanical version, was first introduced in 1994. The electronic Advance product has been developed and refined to create a user-friendly and effective solutions to RSI.

The device comes with a one year warranty and retails at £169.95 - about the cost of one day’s absence from work due to RSI.
